On The Rock Concert

On The Rock concert or otherwise called “OTRC”  is a yearly project hosted by Gospel Force, it is known to be the first major Christian Rock concert in Nigeria and also the biggest Christian Rock concert. I maiden edition was held at Kingsville Church, Lagos on November 15th, 2015 with an unexpected attendance of 1,500 people. According to the band’s leader, Sultan Aladaba – “We planned with an intention to have about 500 people, but 30mins into the concert there were no spaces left for people to come in”

There was so many post-event testimonies as a result of the maiden edition and this lead to the 2nd edition, held at Foursquare Gospel Church, National Headquarters on December 11th, 2016 with attendance rising to about 3,000 people. By the advent of the year 2017, Gospel Force moved the project to RCCG, The King’s Court with support from Mr Onome and Mrs Funke Obruthe, Pst Ben Akabueze, Nathaniel Bassey, Pst Kola Oyeneyin and many others held on December 10th, 2017

The Rock concert has featured a couple ministers including Kunle Kenny, Segun Cooper, Ladi Adewumi, Late Eric Arubayi, Rock Of Ages band, Repj360, IkayRocks, Michael Akingbala, Tuke Morgan, Onome and many others.

I attended OTRC 3 and trust me I am proud to be a part of such an event. I attended the 2015 and 2018 editions of On the Rock Concert. They were wonderful experiences, I had a great time in the presence of the Lord. I was made to realize that there is no recommended way  to praise God, there is no law that compels us to worship him in one particular way, as long as your heart is in the right place.
